INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION: DE PALM TOURS CONNECTS WITH EPI STUDENTS
At De Palm Tours, shaping the future of Aruba’s tourism industry goes beyond delivering unforgettable experiences. It’s about investing in the people who will carry it forward.
As part of EPI’s “Meet the Industry Week,” our colleague Recela Smith had the opportunity to connect with first-year THB (Travel Hospitality Basis) students, offering a closer look into the world of tourism and hospitality.
During the visit, students were introduced to the full scope of what De Palm Tours represents, offering a deeper understanding of the company’s role within Aruba’s tourism landscape. From off-road Jeep Safaris and UTV adventures to catamaran sail and snorkel experiences, Fortunata, the Atlantis Submarine, and De Palm Island, the session provided a comprehensive overview of how diverse and dynamic the industry truly is.
More importantly, the focus went beyond products. The session created space for real conversations about the industry, highlighting the importance of guest experience, teamwork, and adaptability. Students were encouraged to ask questions, explore career possibilities, and gain practical insight into how tourism operations function on a daily basis. It was an interactive and engaging exchange that brought classroom learning into a real-world context.
EPI’s initiative, welcoming approximately 80 students per day, plays a valuable role in bridging education with industry. For De Palm Tours, being part of this effort is an opportunity to inspire young talent, share knowledge, and contribute to the development of future professionals within Aruba’s most vital sector.
To wrap up the experience, students participated in a raffle, adding an exciting and memorable close to the session. Prizes included: two tickets to Atlantis Submarines Aruba, two tickets for a Sunset Sail, and two tickets to De Palm Island, giving lucky winners the chance to experience these offerings firsthand.
