INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION: SPO STUDENTS DISCOVER CAREER PATHWAYS AT DE PALM TOURS

In April 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of eager students from the Scol Practico Opleidende (SPO) to explore the dynamic world behind the scenes at De Palm Tours. This educational visit was designed to offer students real-world insight into our operations and introduce them to the wide range of career opportunities within the tourism and transportation industry.

The day began with an informative session led by our Human Resources Department, where students were introduced to our company’s structure, core values, and internship programs. This was followed by a hands-on presentation from our Maintenance Department, highlighting the technical aspects of servicing and maintaining our fleet of Jeeps and UTVs. The students gained a deeper appreciation for the expertise required to keep our operations running smoothly.

Adding to the day’s excitement, the group boarded one of our buses for a visit to the main office of Atlantis Submarine. There, Department Head Giovanni van Trigt delivered a captivating presentation on submarine operations and maintenance. Students were then treated to an exclusive tour of the interior of the submarine, offering a rare opportunity to experience the technology and innovation involved in underwater tourism.

Throughout the visit, students asked thoughtful questions, engaged with our team members, and gained a broader understanding of what a career in tourism and technical operations entails. Many left inspired by the possibilities, with some expressing interest in pursuing internships or future employment with us.
